What can I check out from the Library?
Inver Hills Library has a collection of over 65,000 books, eBooks, reference materials, CDs, and DVDs. The Library also subscribes to a number of print and electronic journals, magazines, and online databases.
Here are the checkout periods for each type of item. Some items can be renewed for a longer checkout period.
Reference books cannot be checked out, but users may photocopy needed information from them. Instructors' audiovisual materials may not be checked out to students, but they may be viewed in the viewing room in the Library.
As a courtesy to all our users, we ask that individuals follow our circulation policies to ensure that materials are readily available to everyone.
What do I need to check out items?
Library items may be checked out by all currently enrolled students, faculty, and staff. Please obtain a student ID card from the soft lounge area, located on the upper level of the College Center across from the Enrollment Center. A library barcode is needed to check out library materials and study rooms.
